glas facades are dedicated to providing a complete
and professional service to the customer whose project demands a high standard
of attention to detail and a service second to none. This is achieved by
drawing on our personnel's long experience in the specialist window industry,
our established resources and exacting personal standards.
The Vision 3000 range is a high performance sustainable window system constructed using proven techniques and represents the latest in an established and widely used generation of European timber and aluminium composite windows.
The system is based on timber cored components which are sourced from PEFC certified sustainable forests and faced with a maintenance free external cladding of aluminium offering the advantages of both products combined into a single technically advanced and aesthetically pleasing window system.
Offered in both the Vision 3000-UK version with full face aluminium external section cladding (suitable for new and existing traditional flush structural openings) and the Vision 3000-EU version with part aluminium and part insulation facing (suitable for new and existing European style internal rebate check reveals). The EU version offers a minimal sightline to heads and jambs of just 17mm.
The choice of quality timber products gives full flexibility for internal design and the ability to match other internal building products. Due to the inherent strength available from the carefully engineered sections and timber types used, opening windows on a scale not generally available in the UK window market are possible. For example, a single pane side hung open in casement measuring an enormous 1700mm wide x 2000mm high is easily achievable with no increase in sightlines or special considerations necessary, except for a careful assessment of site handling procedures. The system has had all performance criteria tested to an exacting standard to suit both UK and European markets.
An attractive range of branded handles, hinges and ancillary products have been carefully selected for both their aesthetic qualities and their performance as individual products. This is to ensure that the end product delivers the ultimate in terms of all round tried and tested reliability whilst not compromising on the beauty available from this type of composite product.
Sustainable Development
Our products have been designed to fit in with the sustainable development
policy which has been agreed upon between the UK Government, Scottish Executive,
Welsh Assembly Government and the Northern Ireland Administration. Between
these parties a set of five principles that provide a basis for sustainable
development policy in the UK have been agreed upon. One of these key principles
is 'Living within Environmental Limits - Respecting the limits of the planet's
environment, resources and bio diversity - to improve our environment and
ensure that the natural resources needed for life are unimpaired and remain
so for future generations'.
Our window systems use PEFC certified timber from sustainable forests and aluminium from up to 70% recycled raw material. Systems can take triple glazed highly insulating units to give outstanding thermal properties and this coupled with class leading air tightness can save vast amounts of energy use not only throughout the life of the window but from its manufacturing point forward.
This means our products may be suitable for your proposed Carbon Neutral, Zero Carbon or PassivHaus development.
Design
Our expert team using CAD systems are able to offer a full technical service
ensuring the best possible design solution for the discerning client.
We produce full working drawings to provide an 'as built' view of proposed windows as well as full size sectional details for your approval prior to manufacture on all contracts.
Project Management
Individual
projects are assigned a personal project manager to handle the assignment
from conception to completion. Close site supervision ensures successful
installation by our teams of experienced and directly employed operatives,
all of whom are trained to CSCS construction industry standards.
Our comprehensive internal systems ensure that all project documentation such as Method Statements, Risk Assessments, COSHH assessments, Health & Safety documentation, Manuals etc. are published as a matter of course.
