glas facades Vision 3000 windows include an external cladding made from aluminium to provide an outside face requiring minimal maintenance and increase durability of the system

The exposed front face of the window system is clad in maintenance free aluminium constructed from raw material with up to 70% recycled content.

Using an aluminium clad fascia ensures:

  • Minimum external face maintenance
  • Improved longevity of the system
  • Improved durability of external face
  • Modern clean external lines
  • Increased weathertightness

In the case of the Vision 3000 UK model, the entire front face is clad.

In the Vision 3000 EU model, only part of the face is clad and a factory applied insulation board clads the remainder, as the EU model is designed for only part of the external face to be exposed whilst the remainder of the section is concealed behind the building structure (refer to the product details for further information).

External aluminium faces are butt jointed purpose made extrusions which are available in any RAL colour factory applied polyester powder coat finish.

The thickness of the powder coating will be in accordance with EN ISO 2360 : 2003 and varies between 60 and 120 microns.

The cladding is attached to the timber frame fronts by white rigid nylon intermittent clips.

The base of the vertical cladding lengths are sealed to the cill member cladding by light grey elastic sealant strips.

Refer to CAD section or contact glas technical department for further details.
